Report



One of new Zealands longest severing steam train drivers.

He started in 1955 at the age of 16 and went until 2008. That's 53 years.

The trains where from paicocareky and he was from Wellington.

His name was Fred Hamer.

He started at such a young age because that what people of that time did.

Its amazing how people can have a job for so long. I think it would fun to drive trains.

He also had 2 motorbikes and 14 cars.
